Building hosts an 11,000 square foot non-profit community center (Blossom-Center).

Heating & cooling center.

Commercial kitchen (usually we have a cook). Before covid we did open meals for about 100 people per sitting. When covid started we switched to remote delivery of about 500 meals a week to Middlefield & surrounding towns.

Daycare & after school space.

Handicapped accessible emergency shelter (see below**) with generator, washer/ dryer, showers.

Meeting place for various groups. The building is opened for any disaster. About 30 people in town have keys to open the building.

Med-Lift helicopter landing site.

Ready water source for the fire department.

Classes, events, meditation room, exercise room, greenhouse, internet hot spot.

2 electric charging stations (are coming soon summer/fall).

Commercial loading dock for regular & pallet shipments in & out.

Energy efficient “green“ building.

Top of hill location not subject to flooding.

We can adapt to most situations very quickly.

**What our emergency shelter can handle: Day-use: charging devices, filling water jugs, appliance use (washer, dryer, fridge, showers).  Extended overnight stays for weeks if needed.
